2. How does the signup process work?

Contact us using the form on our home page – we will contact you soon to schedule an onboarding phone call or send you a signup assessment form based on your preferences.

3. How much does it cost to move to Asia?

There is tremendous variability in the cost of moving depending your specific needs. In our experience, clients typically spend between $10,000 and $20,000 total, including Path To Asia’s fees, to make their move. The bulk of these costs usually consist of transportation and professional service providers’ fees, such as lawyers and accountants. Contact us for an estimate based on your specific situation. Less costly approaches are also available for those that prefer to do less due diligence.

5. How do I make a payment?

Paypal is our preferred method of payment. Paypal allows for easy repeat payments, and has industry-leading security and fraud protection. Invoices are processed on the second and final Friday of each month. Please visit our payment page to pay your invoice.

6. Can I find employment Asia?

Yes, the labor market in Asia is generally booming compared to the United States, and highly skilled professionally trained foreigners are in demand. If nothing else, native English speakers can typically find a job teaching English. Path To Asia can assist you in locating employment opportunities before you make your move.

7. Can I buy real estate property in Asia?

It depends on your circumstances. In some cases, foreigners are able to buy property outright free and clear. In other instances, it is necessary to marry a native or work out a special arrangement, which we can facilitate. Please contact us for more information on real estate ownership in your country of choice.

8. Will there be many expats available to socialize with?

We generally prefer to locate our clients into communities with robust expat populations. Nearly all major cities have a significant expat presence, as do the more desirable mid-size and small cities. Expat communities tend to be friendly and close-knit, with many opportunities for communal social events – such as celebrating Thanksgiving or watching American football. Please ask your Guide for more information on the expat communities in your preferred country.

9. Does Path To Asia provide on-the-ground support while I am in Asia?

Path To Asia Guides will be available to assist you via email and cell phone once you have arrived in Asia. Before your move, we generally reserve guide communication to Skype and email for your convenience, and due to the 12-14 hour time zone difference. In addition to the Guides, you will also be working with a variety of key trusted service providers that will cater to your needs while you are settling into your new home.

10. What if I dislike living in Asia and want to move back?

The entire premise of Path To Asia is to help you perform the necessary due diligence through research and an evaluation trip, so that you gain as complete an understanding of what life in Asia will be like before making your move. Should you ultimately decide that you would prefer to move back to the United States or to a different Asian country, Path To Asia can assist in the process with your research and wind-down needs. Depending on your resources, Path To Asia can also help you facilitate a longer-term temporary stay.
