Malaysia at a Glance
Malaysia is an amazing tropical, multi-ethnic, and English-speaking (due to its formerly being a British colony) country set between Thailand and Indonesia. Malaysia played a prominent role in the Asian economic miracle of the 1990s, and boasts impressive semiconductor and financial services industries. Outside of the capital Kuala Lampur, the islands of Malaysia rival the best that more well-known tourist draws like Thailand have to offer (those “in-the-know” often prefer Malaysia). Malaysia is becoming more well-known to Westerners thanks to the Malaysia My Second Home program , which makes it easier for foreigners to emigrate, and the government’s widespread “Truly Asia” advertising campaign.
